CALL TO WORSHIP

Heavenly Father, we come to You today in prayer grieving the loss of a loved one. Lord, we ask You to surround us with Your loving light and embrace us in our collective sorrow. Help us to find comfort in the hope that is found in You.

READING John 11:17-36

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

Heavenly Father, we come to you in prayer for all who are facing a difficult time of sorrow and grief. All: Help them /nd comfort in Your presence, so they may and peace and solace in Your arms. Let them feel Your everlasting love, which may soothe their spirit and fill their hearts with joy.

In Your infinite mercy, help them to find joy in the memories of their loved ones. Let them find healing in the remembrance of their laughter, and solace in the time they shared. And, in the days ahead, help them to find peace in the knowledge that You will always be by their side. In Your name, we pray.

BENEDICTION

Dear Lord, lift us to You because we have lost someone dear to us. Cover us with Your comfort and give us strength and courage to accept this loss. Remind us that You have a purpose for our grief and that You will help us heal.
