COMMUNION LITURGY
Psalm 49:1-12
HYMN Love Divine, All Loves Excelling
CALL TO WORSHIP
The dust that shapes the journey, the cross that guides it,
All: the colour that surrounds it, the light that fades through it,
the word that foretells it, the wilderness that invites it.
This is Communion, and into its wilderness God calls us.
The One who calls us,
The One who equips us,
The One who loves us without end.
With joyful hearts, let us worship God.
All: Welcome to this place of love and grace,
Welcome to this place of hope and perseverance.
All: God invites all of us to be a part of the beloved community,
God invites all of us to share in the good news:
All: We are welcome, just as we are. We are loved, just as we are. In gratitude for all of this, let us worship God.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Loving God, open our ears to hear your word and draw us closer to you,
that the whole world may be one with you as you are one with us in Jesus Christ our Lord.
All: God of mercy and healing, you who hear the cries of those in need, receive these petitions of your people that all who are troubled may know peace, comfort, and courage.
Redeeming Sustainer, visit your people and pour out your strength and courage upon us,
All: that we may hurry to make you welcome not only in our concern for others, but by serving them generously and faithfully in your name.
Prayers of the People
Life-giving God, heal our lives, that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds and offer you thanks from generation to generation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen…
